Giving Back

While training itself is a full-time job, Pikes Peak Elite runners believe strongly in the importance of giving back to their community. Everyone on the team spreads their talents, whether its coaching at a local high school, the Boys & Girls Club, or the Wounded Warriors, or volunteering at Dream Power Animal Rescue, or Compassion International and raising money to help send Kenyan students to college.

Amanda Rego started a running club to teach kids at the Boys & Girls Club all about track and field.

Each year, Katherine Ward raises money to put four young men in Kenya through college, along with doing volunteer work with Compassion International. Read about it and find out how to donate on her blog.
