Payne wins Ice Breaker 5-miler

Ben Payne took first yesterday in the 36th annual Ice Breaker 5-mile held in Great Falls, Montana–but Payne’s race didn’t exactly begin at the starting line. His trip to Great Falls was originally to visit friends and so he decided to run the 5-miler–a much shorter distance than his usual 26.2. However, when his flight was delayed and he landed only 37 minutes before the start he had to race to the line quite literally. He made it just in time and completed the race in a time of 25:10 for the win.
